#ROCKETPRIVATEVIEWS at the Royal Academy of Arts October 2018

ROYAL ACADEMY SUMMER EXHIBITION PREVIEW PARTY 2018

In the words of Grayson Perry, the key theme for the exhibition was “Art made now” in celebrating “diversity, democracy, humour” and the “colours of the summer” which for Grayson are turquoise, sky blue and day-glo yellow.

Rocket’s inspiration behind the food was very much in line with the exhibition - three distinct blocks of colour that are represented through food, drinks and styling. The three colourful food stations showcased a feast of seafood, Vietnamese summer rolls and Zingy Mexican tacos.

The party food menu was inspired by food and ingredients that are ‘here and now’ such as Lobster and shrimp rolls, signature Rocket Burgers and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese deluxe.

The big reveal was a 10 foot tall Ferris wheel showcasing trays with the most delicious and colourful eclairs paying tribute to Grayson’s alter-ego: Claire. Guests were then treated to a private performance in the courtyard by award winning singer/song-writer Anne-Marie. Setup by Fisher Productions and cocktails by Drink Fusion.

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM WEDDING OPULENCE

A lavish do for a Lebanese wedding. The bride envisioned an opulent pink fairy-tale with powder pink banquettes, mirror table tops and cherry blossoms all under Hope the blue whale at the NHM.

Staying in the pink theme, guests were served Yellowfin tuna crudo, guacamole, pomegranate and black rice cracker. Further menu highlights included a 6 tier wedding cake and a stunning display of patisseries.

Guests danced the night away on the LED lit dancefloor and were served midnight munchies such as traditional quail fatayer, manoosh and of course some dirty burgers to keep the energy levels up until 3am. Wedding designed by Sonja Klaus, sensational floristry and production by Pinstripes & Peonies and InGenius productions.

'IMPRESSIONISTS IN LONDON' OPENS AT TATE BRITAIN

Rocket's creative team were in their element in the planning of this series of events for the title sponsors of the much anticipated 'Impressionists in London' exhibition at Tate Britain.

For the opening night event, Gallery 9 was transformed into a central London park complete with Autumnal trees, park benches and a spectacular bandstand. As guests arrived, our team, dressed as characters from the era, circulated with canapés and seasonal cocktails. Our chefs designed a bespoke menu for the event recreating classic French dishes into contemporary British versions including Lobster bon bon and bisque purée (Bouillabaisse),

Scallop croquette with roe powder (Coquille St Jacques) and Bouché of slow cooked beef with pickled shallot (Boeuf Bourginon).

Later in the evening, our pastry Chef Emma created a work of art of her own “the Paris Brest“ which we served alongside gem-like patisserie from the bandstand and Autumnal ice creams from the Pramulator.
