We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, hardworking and experienced Tandoori chef to join our team at our new restaurant located in Unity Place, Milton Keynes which is opening soon. The restaurant will specialise in serving modern Indian Punjabi food presented in a rustic, modern and informal style.

More about the role:

The candidate must have thorough skill in using the clay oven (tandoor) and understand the art Indian cooking together with skills of delegation to lead a kitchen when required and multitask.

The candidate must have a food safety certificate and fully understand procedures of health and safety and working in a busy kitchen environment under pressure.

The ideal candidate should be able to follow orders and work under pressure and should have skills such as speaking and listening, team working

Who you are:

Our Ideal Chef will:

• Should be able to follow orders and work under pressure and should have skills such as speaking and listening, team working
• knowledge of using food ordering systems as well as filling in health and safety documentation and HACCP records.
• The candidate will be required to run the daily operation of a working kitchen with their team.
• They must specialise in how to cook using the clay oven and recipes such as tandoori grills and breads should be a strength.
• The ideal candidate shall understand and appreciate the restaurant trade and the importance of ensuring food consistency at all times.
• He/she should also appreciate that in such an industry work needs to be completed fully before departing from the premises
• Skills such as positivity, motivation, confidence, working under pressure, consistency, maintaining standards and English are perfect for the job role.
