Reception Supervisor - Radstone Hotel​

The RAD Hotel Group are a multi-award winning, ambitious group of hotels in the West of Scotland. At present, the group boasts The Lochside House Hotel Lodges & Spa (New Cumnock), The Radstone Hotel (Larkhall), The Carlton Hotel (Prestwick), The Royal Hotel (Cumnock) and Hetland Hall Hotel (Dumfries). Renowned for providing an exceptional customer experience regardless the purpose of a visit, we are looking to expand our team due to continued growth.

We are seeking a receptionist to join our team at Lochside House Hotel, Lodges & SPA.

Your duties will include:

  • You must have excellent customer service skills providing 1st class service while dealing with all enquires and ensuring guests are comfortable while residing in the hotel.
  • Ensure guests are welcomed in and out of the hotel.
  • Check guests in and out of the hotel.
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing calls and online enquires passing onto the relevant department.
  • You must have good attention to detail, taking ownership of any issues that may arise and resolving these in a timely manner.
  • Processing all guest information through the front of house system.
  • Ensuring all reservations are dealt with appropriately through the front of house system and diaries.
  • Cash handling and end of day reconciliation of tills and front of house system.
  • Processing of invoices for sales ledger.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out as per daily duties sheet.
  • Administration duties as required.
  • Chasing of in house events, in relation to business sheets
  • Ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and reported to the senior management team.
  • Management of all accommodation bookings within the hotel ensuring that all room requirements are met and that all rooms are billed appropriately.Ensuring that procedures are being undertaken & maintained to allow good management of reservations and billing.
  • Liaising with head of housekeeping to ensure all bedroom requirements are met.

In order to be successful candidates must possess:

  • Previous experience in hotel reception would be beneficial
  • Experience working with hotel booking systems would be advantageous
  • Professional telephone manner & strong communication skills
  • Professionally presented
  • Experience of cash handling
  • Flexible due to nature of shift work
  • Warm and friendly
