Inspired Career Training

We’re committed to offering all of our colleagues the opportunity to grow and develop throughout their careers with us. Our training combines the best of:

• e-learning through our unique Inspire Online training platform
• our commitment to offering superbly structured apprenticeship opportunities.

In 2016, we invested £500k creating the Inspire Academy at De Vere Horwood Estate, a dedicated in-house learning centre for our business. It has everything from a fully kitted IT suite, fully operational mock reception desk and functioning bar and coffee station solely used for internal courses as well as being a great place to deliver specialist training through external providers.

Training, Development and Chef Academies

We’ve invested heavily in the development programmes for our chefs, to make sure we have industry leading training at the fingertips of all our kitchen colleagues, at all levels. Within our dedicated Training Academy, we have a Development Kitchen that we use for training, testing our menus, and hosting our Chef Academy Programmes.

Our Chef Academies (at Commis, Chef de Partie and Sous level) have been designed to deliver structured, relevant and skills based learning to enhance the cookery and leadership skills of our chefs.

Apprenticeships

We’re proud to offer our colleagues the opportunity to gain valuable qualifications through our commitment to Apprenticeships and on the job development.

Apprenticeships are a great way to not only gain new qualifications to develop your career, but as ours have been designed for roles within hospitality, we are able to offer the chance for our colleagues to earn whilst they learn.
