I joined Pret as an Operations Manager in 2011 having previously worked in restaurants. I had always loved Pret as a customer and was happy to find so many great people with such enthusiasm for fresh food and passion for service. I am now Head of Operations looking after 50 shops across the West of the UK with a team of 8 Ops and Group Managers reporting into me and an annual turnover of over £65 million. We care passionately about doing the right thing by our people and our customers and this is such a satisfying and rewarding place to be.

Pret appealed to me because it's well-loved by customers, it's a British business growing internationally and it has a unique culture. I knew I'd made the right decision to take the job when they sent me Champagne and snacks in the post! I get to work with incredibly talented people inside and outside of the business, in the UK, US, Asia and France. I started my career at Pret as a Team Member in 1995. I have performed many different roles from operations to Support Centre roles. I currently look after the Commerce and Helpdesk department across all Pret markets. Pret gives you the chance to have a career and grow, even if you don’t have a university degree. The variety of work is really challenging and fast paced. Working in the office, you still get involved in so much of the life in shops it keeps you on your toes! It is a rewarding place to be and gives a great sense of achievement.
