Assistant Manager - Spuntino

Spuntino is a scruffy small-plate joint serving handcrafted cocktails and Italian/American comfort food. We take our inspiration from the Prohibition-style speakeasy cocktail bar on the Lower East Side in New York.

The restaurant is nestled in amongst the sex shops and massage parlours of Rupert Street in Soho’s red-light district. There are no tables and no chairs at Spuntino – just 27 stools around three sides of a pewter-topped horseshoe-shaped bar counter.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to support & work closely with the General Manager, leading & developing our small, close-knit team at Spuntino.

This is what working for Spuntino looks like:

  • No staff uniform!
  • Up to 50% employee discount at our restaurants
  • Free Perkbox membership for all staff – discounts at restaurants, gym memberships, high street retail shops etc.
  • Up to 28 days paid holiday per year
  • Company pension & childcare vouchers
  • Refer a Friend Scheme – where you can earn up to £300 to work with your friends
  • Work incentives with amazing prizes such as trips abroad to Italy
  • Annual staff parties
  • Competitive salary dependent on experience, with tronc
  • Free meals on shift and a beer or glass of wine at the end of the night
  • Ongoing training & development with real prospects at career growth – over 75% of our managers have been promoted internally

The Ideal Spuntino Person:

  • Loves unique and original food & drinks and understands the importance of consistently creating the best experience for our teams and customers
  • Has experience in a busy restaurant and excellent hospitality skills. You must enjoy looking after people and putting them at the centre of everything that you do!
  • Wants to support & work as part of a close-knit team
  • Speaks great English and has a positive, honest, can-do attitude
  • Valid right to work in the UK is essential
