NEW PUB OPENING

Our new pub The Canbury Arms will be opening in Kingston, January 2019 and we are looking for a Senior Sous Chef and a Sous Chef with a real passion for quality fresh food to join us now and work in our existing pubs in readiness for our new opening. 

The Canbury Arms will be the eighth pub for Pearmain Pubs and we have lots of opportunities for chefs at all levels. We are looking to recruit our chef team now so they can join us and train in one of our existing pubs in readiness for the new opening. Our pubs local to the Canbury Arms include: The Crown, St Margarets, Twickenham; The Wheatsheaf, Esher; The Old Plough, Cobham

This is a hands-on Sous Chef role and you will work across all areas of the kitchen, ensuring high standards are met and managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence. You will be working in a modern well-equipped kitchen within a brigade of 9 chefs and 3 kitchen porters.

You will be involved in a variety of duties including: Fresh food preparation; managing wage targets; ordering and stock control; developing new dishes; adhering to food safety and cleaning standards; training and developing junior chefs.

Who are we:

Pearmain Pubs are a small group of 7 independently owned 'smart pubs' located in Surrey and Middlesex with plans to open a new site in the Kingston area early 2019. Each of our pubs has been carefully chosen and sympathetically restored, with quality interiors and beautiful gardens, casual enough to be comfortable, smart enough to feel special. Our eighth pub, The Canbury Arms in Kingston is due to open early 2019 but we are recruiting now for you to join us and train in readiness for the new opening.
