Welcome to Pearmain Pubs

We are a privately owned pub company, operating six great pubs in Surrey and Hampshire.  We started with the Red Lion, Horsell in February 2008 and added the Three Horseshoes, Laleham in 2009.  From there we opened the Onslow Arms, Clandon in March 2011 which is still our largest site.  This was followed by the Old Plough, Stoke D’Abernon at the end of 2011 and the Crown, St. Margarets in May 2013.

The Wheatsheaf, Esher Green opened July 2015 with great success and continues to be a popular place for discerning diners and drinkers alike, particularly on ‘race’ days!

The Grantley Arms, Wonersh is a beautiful little village pub a few miles outside of Guildford and we are excited to be opening the doors to this pub early April 2017.

All our pubs are individually styled and we spend a lot of time creating good outside spaces – either gardens, patios, decking areas or marquees and aim to be casual enough to be comfortable but smart enough to feel special.   We serve delicious, freshly prepared food all day, every day.  Great for a snack, business lunch or dinner with friends.  We have a good range of fairly priced cask ales and lagers and some great wines, Fair-trade coffee and tea.  We have leather sofas, armchairs and squashy cushions to sit around the log fires in the winter and air conditioning or alfresco dining in the warmer months.  We describe ourselves as smart gastro pubs with particular attention to the service and the food.

We have around 300 staff and each pub has it’s own management team both front of house and in the kitchen.  Head Office supports the pubs to run independently and we offer NVQ/Apprenticeship training for our staff as well as bespoke management development training.  We are proud of our low staff turnover and really do try to be a family run pub company – professional, friendly and a nice place to work.

We listen to our staff and being ‘non-corporate’ in our approach encourages ideas and suggestions to come through.  We are busy and successful and believe this to be down to recruiting engaging people who are able to offer ‘intelligent’ service and trained/experienced chefs who are passionate about food.  We love what we do – the buzz of a busy service and the satisfaction of customers leaving saying they’ll be back!

We intend to grow our business slowly – making sure that each pub is ingrained with our culture and high standards.  If you’re looking for a progressive career or a part-time job – then please get in touch.
