Southerness Holiday Park is Visit Scotland 4 stars accredited and situated on a two mile stretch of beach. With breath-taking views over the Solway Firth to Cumbria and just 16 miles from Dumfries, it is a great location. Facilities include a 25m indoor pool, arcade and a Wildlife nature trail on which you may spot Scotland's largest breeding colony of Natterjack toads. Eat, drink & enjoy at 3 locations across the park along with a convenience store and off-licence. Southerness has 115 units for hire and boasts 422 privately owned caravans and lodges.
Head Chef
We are seeking a Head Chef with strong organisational skills to join the team in Southerness, Scotland on a full-time permanent basis. You will be responsible for a team of up to 7 seasonal chefs and 2 kitchen porters and will be overseeing our Coast Bar and Kitchen as well as Legends Diner.
This position is 48 hours across 6 days including evenings/weekends.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Leading the kitchen team to deliver menu items in a timely and efficient manner
* Strict management of waste control
* Meticulous health & safety standards
* Ordering in conjunction with Complex Manager
* Rota and hours management
* Recruitment and training
* Driving customer satisfaction levels through excellent food production
A successful person will have:
* Exceptional organisational skills
* Previous experience of working in a fast paced, high volume kitchen
* Experience in stock take & budget control
* Excellent people-management and communication skills
* Experience of managing a team
