Ozone Coffee Roasters International (OCRI) comprises three speciality coffee operations - Ozone Coffee Roasters' two sites in London, two sites in New Zealand and Hasbean in Stafford.

We’re looking for a Head Roaster to take charge of Ozone’s London roasting operations and facilities.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:

• Organising and delivering day-to-day production roasting for Ozone Coffee Roasters UK
• Managing and developing the London-based roasting team
• Maintenance and upkeep of the London roastery spaces, including Health & Safety
• Supporting the Production Manager with blending, cupping and quality control
• Onsite stock management
• Working collaboratively with Wholesale, Online and Fulfilment teams to deliver for our customers
• Being an enthusiastic source of coffee knowledge for our customers, the wider OCRI team and coffee community.

Essential:

• Experienced Production Roaster
• Understanding of Drum roaster operation and basic maintenance
• Able to create roasting profiles and maintain flavour consistency.
• Good broad coffee knowledge
• Keen to develop as a team leader and team player

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Organic / Biodynamic certifications
• Experience implementing new ways of working and production processes
• Cupping and QC experience
