Internal Quality Assurer - OriGym Centre of Excellence

OriGym is delivering high quality certification and training in the Health and Fitness sector. It is harnessing the power of Internet-based education with both face to face delivery and blended learning styles.

Overview

The Internal Quality Assurer are required to monitor the quality assurance of both delivery and assessment processes and practices in line with the centre's Internal Quality Assurance policy and Awarding Organisation requirements.

As a full time Internal Quality Assurer we expect you to work independently, to a high standard, and within given time scales.

Much of the assessment in done online so a good level of computer literacy is required however travel will be necessary for this role as the company utilises facilities across the UK.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor assessment practices and activities to ensure compliance of internal quality standards
  • Sample the work of assessors/trainers and verify their assessment decisions
  • Provide oral and written feedback to assessors/trainers on their performance
  • Countersign assessment records when appropriate
  • Lead and arrange standardisation meetings with assessors/trainers
  • Ensure the use of correct documents by all staff members
  • Plan and deliver assessor/trainer CPD and training programmes
  • Adhere to internal quality and verification processes and procedures, leading by example
  • Monitor assessors/trainer workload and performance
  • Complete any other related duties as required by the business
  • Using e-assessor or one-file assessment

Qualifications/Experience:

  • V1, Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance Process and Practices or Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance Process and Practices (or willingness to work towards)
  • Practising/experienced assessor/trainer in the relevant vocational area (including D32/33, A1 or TAQA qualifications or PTLLS equivalent)
  • Level 3 Personal Training qualification plus additional fitness based qualifications
  • Level 3 Sports Massage Therapy (desirable)
  • Good record keeping and administration skills
