We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Golf Service Assistant to assist with the smooth running of the golf and Proshop .
You will need to be a team player, able to work under pressure and have the ability to work well with colleagues and have good communication skills.
Old Thorns is a four-star hotel resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from the M25 and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars and a championship golf course.
Main responsibilities:
- To provide information and assistance to golf members visitors and guests in a friendly and professional manner
- To assist with the cleaning and charging of golf buggies as required
- To assist with the clearing of the range and that it is well presented at all times
- To undertake golf course Marshall duties as required to ensure the pace of play is upheld
- To undertake duties to support golf events such as greeting and directing guests, golf bag drop and shoe cleaning
- To provide mobile drinks on the golf course as required and to upsell at every opportunity
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- A good understanding of golf and/or be a keen golfer
- Be well presented and have good interpersonal skills
- Possess good communication skills and have a friendly and professional manner
- Previous experience in a customer facing role is advantageous
- A flexible and adaptable approach
This is a casual role with varied hours throughout the year.
