Assistant Restaurant Manager

Old Thorns is a luxury four-star resort in Hampshire. The hotel is easily accessible from the A3, and only 30 minutes from the M25 and Portsmouth. Old Thorns offers luxury accommodation, conference & function facilities, health club, beauty spa, restaurants & bars and a championship golf course.       

We are seeking Assistant Restaurant Manager to ensure the smooth running and delivery of high standards of customer service within our 200+ cover Kings Carvery & Brasserie Restaurant.    

Main Responsibilities:

• To assist in the day to day running of the restaurant, delivering restaurant sales and service strategy  
• To ensure all guests receive the highest standards of customer service 
• To assist in recruit, manage, train and develop the Restaurant team 
• Responsible for effective stock rotation, stock takes and ordering   

Knowledge/Skills & Experience Required:

• A proven record of service excellence 
• The ability to motivate, inspire and train a team  
• A hands on approach and desire to lead by example  
• Immaculate presentation skills  
• A passion for delivering excellent customer service  
• Able to work in an efficient and organised manner  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (Excellent standards of spoken English)
• Strong industry and food knowledge and be able to advise guests on food and beverage choices and accompaniments
