Right now, we are looking for a sales focused individual to join the senior management team at our Leicester Hospital where you will have accountability for shaping and enhancing all elements of our customer journey and delivering our revenue plan.

You will drive revenue and profit through the development and delivery of an innovative business development strategy, reporting to the Hospital Director and working closely with the hospital Senior Management Team.

Core responsibilities will include:-


* Development of existing service lines.
* Management of relationships with key stakeholders.
* Market review to identify new business opportunities.
* Managing and developing the patient/customer journey for all non-clinical activities - sales and services, reception, bookings, medical records and medical secretaries.
* Process improvement to drive efficiency.
* Overall leadership of a department of 24, with 4 direct reportees.
* Developing sales promotions to drive self-pay activity into the hospital.
* Understanding of the competitor position and defending existing markets.
* Developing products and offers in line with the One Nuffield strategy - joining up the health and wellbeing elements.
* Responsible for all external and internal commercial communication.
* Development of long term business referrals from GP practices.

You will be commercially aware and results driven with a proven capability of revenue generation, improving performance and exceeding targets, using a consultative approach.You will be confident in establishing credibility and building effective working relationships amongst key stakeholders and the media in order to achieve business growth. Ideally you will have experience of designing and implementing PR strategies as well as experience of co-ordinating media relations to generate positive media coverage.


Experience and/or in depth understanding of GP and NHS operational processes is preferred.

You will be expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good level of IT literacy. High attention to detail, the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks is essential. You will also possess strong managerial and leadership skills.

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a £4.5 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme.

The Hospital has 37 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit, a new digital X ray room & digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.

The Hospital has been rated as a 'Good' hospital by the CQC and achieved this rating across the 5 key lines of enquiry across all departments inspected. We are particularly proud of the 'Outstanding' in the caring domain for the Children and Young People's service.
