Kitchen Administrator - Blackburn

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Northcote as a Kitchen Administrator. Reporting directly to Nigel Haworth, Chef Patron, and working closely with Head Chefs and Management in the kitchen you will ensure a smooth, successful running of all kitchen administration.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a good understanding of margin and profit and assist in keeping these in line with targets to minimise waste;
  • Be efficient in processing invoices;
  • Have the ability to input and analyse all data regarding the purchasing and stocks of all materials and foods ordered for the kitchen;
  • Have the ability to maintain a database of all Northcote kitchen recipes to include the compilation of new recipes, linking to allergens and cost;
  • Ensure all administration of the HR system is up to date and accurate in relation to the kitchen brigade, including the processing of all kitchen staff holiday requests, fingerprint data, uploading of rotas;
  • Ensure accurate stock takes are undertaken and up to date;
  • Attend kitchen meetings as and when required;
  • Assist with the administration relating to the Ribble Valley Inn and Northcote Gardens as and when required;
  • Have responsibility for processing and dispatching of all gift voucher enquiries taken online, telephone and in person.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a kitchen administration role within the hospitality industry and will be looking to take their next step to work for an award winning company. You will be a driven person, have exceptional IT and communication skills, be of a proactive nature and have the ability to multi task and prioritise.

The role will be 50 hours per week over five days (weekend work may be required on occasions).
