Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with Southbank's eclectic vibe. Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, Mondrian London uniquely offers river view balcony suites directly on the Thames. Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known. 

Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. Experience underwater tranquillity and specialised treatments at agua Bathhouse & Spa, sample delicious food using locally sourced ingredients at Sea Containers restaurant, where outdoor seating along the river walk is also available, and sample innovative cocktails from Mr Lyan at Dandelyan with its iconic green marble bar and dramatic views of the Thames. 

The most glamorous of spaces is our rooftop bar, Rumpus Room, with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, featuring panoramic views over London. Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the Southbank neighbourhood, Mondrian London is within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, the National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye.

In Mondrian we create a vibe that makes our guests want to live every moment more intensely. We offer them quite simply, a richer, more engaging experience. We are currently recruiting a Spa Receptionist who can bring this to life.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for answering all ‘agua’ telephone enquiries.
  • Responsible for scheduling tours, spa day packages, treatments and personal training.
  • Responsible for the sale of gift vouchers and their redemption.
  • Responsible for pre and post treatment advice for clients when booking appointments.
  • Responsible for stating important contra-indications when booking appointments.
  • Schedule bookings for the members and guests to the required standard.
  • Ensure that all new clients fill in a spa consultation card and keep this record updated with current information.
  • Ensure that all spa reception areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure that all equipment is serviced as part of a preventative maintenance program.
  • Responsible for achieving retail sales.
  • Responsible for processing bill payments and receipts.
  • Responsible for all retail stock security.
  • Responsible for recording all the necessary information in the spa soft computer system.
  • Responsible for cancellation bookings waiting list for members and guests.
  • Responsible for recording member and guest comments.

Experience required

 

  • Proven experience in a 4/5 star or high profile events environment
  • Experience in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Good guest interaction skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
