Role Summary

We looking to hire a hardworking and professional Inventory Controller Manager to join our state of the art Hospitality complex in Wesham, Preston on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the General Manager and in turn the Company Chairman, you will play a vital role in working across all the profit centres in the main stand overseeing all the administration, purchasing and finance functions on a day to day basis.

This includes all order processing, checking all deliveries, cash handling & till reconciliations and controlling of the stock on site.

Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Purchasing

  • Oversee and collate all food and beverage orders across Bradley’s, Churchills, Milano’s and Food Kiosks.
  • Raise purchase orders and ensure that orders are placed in line with company policy.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are kept separate for each designated Profit centre to keep clean stock records.
  • File, process and distribute associated paperwork connected with the ordering process to the relevant departments.
  • Check in all deliveries to site and ensure it is distributed to the correct locations.

Stock Control

  • Implement and update as necessary Min and Max levels for better stock control.
  • Process all stock transfers between profit centres to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Process all wastage and write off of goods at each profit centre to ensure stock accuracy.

Stock-Taking

  • Conduct weekly stock-takes both food and drink.
  • Manage stock taking on match days re Kiosks and reconcile any discrepancies before close of play.
  • Produce stock count reports and circulate to key personnel.
  • Investigate all variances with the MFMA.
  • Discuss discrepancies with the respective manager/agree action plans.

Cash Handling

  • Reconcile the previous days takings for all areas and ensure cash & credit payments match the cashing-up sheets.
  • Complete daily banking sheets for all areas.
  • Ensure all monies are banked daily.
  • Ensure all floats are accurate and available as required for the day’s activities.

Reports/Administration

  • Oversee accurate cash-up procedures and ensure paperwork is complete.
  • Follow and adhere to our cash management procedures.
  • Report to the FBM to ensure staff management of stock control.
  • Report to the FBM that stock is correctly rotated and stored to reduce wastage.
  • Review Product Profit reports to ensure agreed margins are maintained.
  • Report anomalies on Product Profit so appropriate follow up actions can be implemented.
  • Maintain regular communication with staff and management through meetings and discussions.

About You

You should be experienced in a similar type of role with working knowledge of food and beverage management, knowledge of business management principles and practices, good accounting, cost control & administrative procedures and knowledge of the use of EPOS applications Your organisational skills, customer focus and work ethic are the most important things in this varied and stretching role.
