Spa & Leisure Manager - Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel & Spa

£28,500 plus bonus and benefits

Spa Natural offers our members and hotel guests a personalised service in the tranquillity of a county estate setting.

The Mercure Ardoe House and Spa is everything you would expect of a 21st century luxury Hotel. In bringing the 19th century mansion up to date we have taken a great deal of care to ensure that it's grandeur and dignity is not disturbed.

Our Spa Natural includes an 18 metre swimming pool, steamroom, sauna, hot tub, gym and aerobics studio as well as 5 beauty rooms.

Our hands on Spa & Leisure Manager will be responsible for the delivery of excellent customer service whilst maximising profits and exploiting opportunities for business growth in both our leisure/fitness and beauty departments.

Experience of managing an establishment including leisure and beauty is preferred but not essential.

Main Responsibilities

• To effectively lead and develop a highly motivated team of 16+, maintaining agreed standards of product delivery and constantly exceeding customer expectations
• To develop effective sales strategies for the Spa, in order to maximise membership yield, whilst achieving the business plan objective
• To manage stock ordering and procurement to ensure maximum profit and minimum waste
• To produce departmental budgets in line with the main hotel budget
• To comply with all legal requirements in respect of health, safety and welfare of all members of staff and customers
• Advertise and promote the Spa to potential new members.
• To initiate and implement Sales Plan and manage local and corporate sales initiatives
• Identify peaks and troughs and recommend action to compensate and maximise business
