Working Hours: 37 hours between Monday to Sunday, covering earlies and lates

Salary: £19,312 to £19,698 per annum + excellent benefits

Here at Mansfield leisure our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. To deliver these services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are recruiting for full time Lifeguards, however if you do not have the qualification please still apply as we can put the right candidate on an NPLQ course.

As a Lifeguard you’ll be an important part of life here at the centre as you ensure that everyone can use the pool in safety and that they have access to everything they need to enjoy their visit. This will involve you providing customer care to people of all ages, supervising activities, maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the pool area, and ensuring the safe handling and set up of pool equipment. And of course, when needed – you’ll help to save lives.

Without you there can’t be any pool activity. But you won’t be working alone. Our leisure centre has a close knit and supportive team, all working towards providing an inclusive leisure hub for the entire community.

About you

No previous Lifeguarding experience required, this role is open to anybody who has the desire to be a lifeguard and can meet the minimum requirements in a swim test.

To pass the swim test you must be able to perform the following:

• Swim 8 lengths (4 on front & 4 on back total 200 meters)
• Tread water for 1 minute
• Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool and retrieve object (deepest part 2.0 meters)
• Swim 2 lengths (50 meters) in under 60 seconds
• Climb out unassisted (not using steps).

 

The NPLQ course will take place during Easter in April half term, (Tuesday 5th April to Friday 8th April, then Tues 12th April to Thurs 14th April 2022) so please make sure you can commit to these dates if successful.
