We are looking for a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team at The Compleat Angler.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be given autonomy to build and lead your own team, and as such the right person will be someone whose priority is always people, whether it's guests or colleagues, and who understands that people are the key to success.

The successful applicant will have had previous experience in a similar role, or as a number 2 in a busy hotel housekeeping department.

The role will involve working weekends due to the nature of the operation.

As Head Housekeeper you will:

• Take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the department
• Take care of a team of people, ensuring they are happy and motivated
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Ensure that all rooms are cleaned to an exceptional standard
• Take on the responsibility that comes with being a key part of the Hotel Management Team
• Have a collaborative approach to working with other departments
• Maintain all relevant KPIs and standards

Located on the banks of the River Thames with uninterrupted views of Marlow Bridge, Weir and All Saints Church, you'll find the world-renowned waterside property known as Macdonald Compleat Angler in the heart of Buckinghamshire. Dating back 400 years, the hotel takes its name from Izaak Walton's eponymous book, published in 1653. The hotel is a hub of social activity, home to 64 bedrooms, two restaurants and five event spaces.
