About a role:
Join our team of exceptional Food and Beverage Team Members at Macdonald Portal Golf & Spa Club, and you’ll work in a great environment.
Our Cellar Assistant is crucial in delivering superb service and ensuring the hotel's thriving food and beverage operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage beverage stock levels and ensure an effective stock rotation procedure across all areas.
- Ensure any stock transfers are recorded on the event preparation sheet
- Ensure that all figures are accurate when assisting the cellar manager/supervisor with stocktakes.
- That all cellar tasks are carried out with Macdonald Health & Safety regulations in mind, using PPE whenever specific tasks require you.
- That all waste products are disposed of and recorded as wastage and inform your cellar supervisor.
- That any damage to equipment or health and safety across the site is reported promptly.
- That the closedown check sheet is complete at the end of every shift.
- Responsible for maintaining the company standards for cellar operations.
- Ensure cellar operations are done in line with the site’s shops.
- Ensure that loose stock is used first to maintain good housekeeping and tidy all areas.
- To conduct duties that positively reflect the business and bring an excellent reputation to the cellar department.
- Liaise regularly with Food & Beverage Managers if stock levels are running low for a particular product.
- Ensure all safety boots & protective clothing are worn throughout the shift.
- Be responsible for tidying the main cellar at the end of each shift.
Hours & Requirements
- Full-time
- 8-hour shifts
Additional hours may be required to support the business at busy times, i.e. Bank Holidays.
Salary: £10.50 per hour
