Assistant Arcade Managers - Towyn

An opportunity has arisen within the Lyons Holiday Parks Group for two Assistant Arcade Managers.  These roles will be based in the seaside resort of Towyn at Lyons Downtown Arcade and Lyons Winkups Arcade.  These are busy, popular arcades, both having a good arcade team in place.

These positions are seasonal however there may be scope for some work over the winter months repairing arcade machines and on arcade development projects throughout the group.

The Role

The Assistant Arcade Manager will report to the Group Arcade Manager.  Your main areas of concentration in this role will be: -

• Keeping machine availability at its highest through reactive and preventative machine maintenance programs.
• Fixing basic arcade machine faults promptly and reporting major ones to the Group Arcade Manager.
• Ensuring the arcade operates within set security and cash handling guidelines at all times.
• Managing and improving the effectiveness of the arcade team to include the following:-
• Maintaining BACTA compliance.
• Training new team members how to fix coin jams.
• Overseeing that ticket machines are be replenished promptly.
• Making sure that all customers get outstanding customer service.
• Checking that the arcade is always clean and welcoming.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will have a good experience of the gambling industry that covers family and adult gaming centres.  You will have a sound technical knowledge of gaming machines and ideally have had some supervisory or managerial experience.  A driving licence is essential for this role.

We would consider applications from candidates with a sound arcade background wishing to progress to a managerial role or from candidates with good management experience wishing to move to the gaming industry field.

The Package

This salary for this role is negotiable and depending on experience.  Please state your current or expected salary in your application.  Our arcades are open between 9am and 2am during peak season and in this position you will be working during the evenings, weekend and at night with a changeable shift pattern.  The hours will be 40 per week in low season and 48 hours per week in high season.
