Head Chef - The Lyons Nant Hall Hotel, Prestatyn

An opportunity has opened up for a talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at The Lyons Nant Hall Hotel.  Our hotel is a beautiful Grade II listed building which is a popular venue for weddings, parties, casual drinks, locally sourced food and high-quality dining. 

In this role you will confidently be leading and inspiring our kitchen team, working alongside the general manager to create attractive menus, cooking food of the highest standards and implementing procedures within the kitchen to ensure excellent quality is consistent in food preparation and presentation at all times.

The motivation of team members and managing the staffing levels of the kitchen team will also be duties covered by the Head Chef.

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate will be a fantastic Head Chef with experience in a similar environment.  You will have confidence and flair with menu creation and able to cook in line with budgets.  We are looking for a chef who can develop the positive working relationships within our kitchen team.  Our Head Chef is expected to lead by example and to encourage the kitchen brigade to flourish under their guidance. 

Qualifications

  • Food hygiene certificate
  • Certificate in food health and safety
  • Professional cookery qualification such as an NVQ

The package

This is a full-time position which will include working over weekends and public holidays. 

The salary is negotiable depending on experience with 28 days annual leave including bank holidays with enrolment onto the NEST pension scheme after 13 weeks of employment.
