We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Spa and Leisure Operations Manager to join the team.  Reporting to the Spa Director you will be responsible for the smooth running of the day to day operations and ensuring that all visitors to the Spa have a memorable and exceptional experience.

Responsibilities of the Spa and Leisure Operations Manager

• Support the Spa Director in all aspects of operations driving key elements such as H&S, motivating and training the team, cleanliness and maintenance of the Spa and leisure facilities, diary management, guest relations and membership sales and retention
• Managing the pool and plant operations and ensuring that they are compliant with guidelines and Health and Safety requirements
• Health and Safety – prepare and update risk assessments as required, ensure all staff are trained with regards to H&S and their role and all spa and leisure areas are assessed on a regular basis
• Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports
• Ensure all areas of the Spa are maximising revenue opportunities at all times whilst ensuring service levels are consistent
• To fulfil Duty Manager shifts as required
• Initially deal with guest feedback, complaints and ensure that necessary action is taken
• Create and maintain relations with spa guests and hotel guests by having an active presence in key guest areas
• To consistently deliver an excellent level of service to spa and hotel guests by ensuring you have fully trained staff and resources are allocated to meet the demands of the business
• To be proactive in anticipating guest’s needs and ensuring all requirements are met and requests responded to in order to encourage repeat business

Skills and experience required to fulfil the Spa and Leisure Operations Manager

• Previously worked as an Assistant/Leisure Manager within a Spa/Leisure facility
• Pool and plant qualification is essential
• Qualification in Fitness and Leisure, Personal Training would be an advantage
• Proven record in membership sales and retention
• Experience of training, motivating and developing team members
• Excellent level of customer service
• Be able to communicate in fluent English – written and verbal
• Keen eye for detail
• Positive attitude

We are offering a full time role working 48 hours over 5 days including evenings, weekends and Public/Bank Holidays.
