Head Chef Opportunity for New Opening

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious chef to oversee the kitchen and food offer at our  BRAND-NEW  concept site The Light, Sittingbourne - opening end of May 2021

The Light brings together a 300 cover diner, nine-lane bowl, retro arcade and eight-screen cinema all under one roof, taking guest experience to the next level.

Our diner offers guests a choice of three individual and exciting street food style eateries; Fratellis selling freshly made Italian Pizza, Pittsburger selling gourmet burgers, made on site and Coffee Cabana for desserts and coffee. As Head Chef you will have the opportunity to launch, shape and drive the success of all three.

We are looking for a real foodie with a passion for thinking outside the box and creating dishes our guests will love, as well running an efficient kitchen with the ability to cope with busy service times.

What we are looking for

• Ideally 2+ years previous experience as a Grill Chef working within a busy fast paced environment
• Confident in menu innovation - creating monthly specials and developing our amazing gourmet burgers & hotdogs
• Experience in opening kitchens or working as part of a new site launch team
• Understanding of local market food trends
• Confident in a guest facing position
• Flexible to work in shifts including weekends and late evenings
