My client is currently looking for a dedicated Sous Chef for their luxury location. The Sous Chef role is an integral position within the team to cater for not only holiday lodges but also the Hotel, as well as supporting the Head Chef in leading, directing and motivating a core team who work to deliver the exacting standards which encompass the company ethos of "delivering amazing experiences by loving what we do".



The hotel and village comprises of one hundred luxury self-catering lodges within the original buildings of a Victorian Farm, whilst the thirty hotel suites are located within the main building. The Bar and Restaurant provides guests with the ideal space to relax and enjoy excellent food and drink whilst taking in the stunning views.



My client is looking for a Sous Chef who can assist the Head Chef in all aspects of running a kitchen and can provide input in to the overall success of the business using their past experiences and knowledge. The Bar and Restaurant is a bistro style restaurant, open every day of the year and covers four main services each day, from breakfast through to evening service.



The successful candidate must have:





* Two years Sous Chef experience in a similar style restaurant





* A strong understanding of the ordering process and the importance of stock control





* The ability to work to and meet budgetary requirements





* A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Health and Safety within a Kitchen, including but not limited to COSHH, HACCP and Risk Assessments





* A passion for creating new and different menus using fresh, local produce





* A great knowledge of ingredients and understanding of how they work together





* The ability to motivate and lead the Chef team whilst working well alongside the Front of House team





* The appropriate Food Hygiene Certificate from within the last three years





* Own chef whites, shoes and knives





* A full driving license and access to own transport
