Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, is currently undergoing a full significant refurbishment of the hotel, ready for re-opening in Autumn 2023.
We are now looking to appoint an Assistant Restaurant Manager reporting to the Restaurant Manager to deliver five-star standard service to our guests dining in our Hotel restaurant. We are looking for this role to start mid September 2023.
Your day to day;
- Hosting to the highest calibre and ensuring that all team members working in the department maintain a high level of hospitality at all times to all guests
- Ensuring the implementation of high standards of food and beverage service and high levels of product quality throughout the food service period
- Supporting the Restaurant Manager in managing the Food & Beverage team members and working closely with the kitchen team
- On-going training and development of the Food & Beverage team, to ensure high levels of service are continuously maintained
- Effective management of the restaurant diary, providing effective communication with the reception and reservation teams, ensuring guest requirements are met
- Assisting with the recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction for team members working within the department
Who are we looking for?
You will have worked previously in a similar Assistant Restaurant Manager or supervisory role and will have worked in a high quality Four-Star Hotel, ideally Five-Star hotel, or fine dining restaurant.
You will have a genuine passion for the food and drink industry. Wine knowledge experience is desirable in this role. This is a supervisory role and therefore you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead and develop a team.
You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will be a motivational and engaging leader for your team, have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
You will be computer literate and previous experience working with Zonal would be advantageous.
