Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, is currently undergoing a full significant refurbishment of the hotel, ready for re-opening in Autumn 2023.

We are now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager, reporting to the Resident Manager, to ensure the delivery of five-star standard service to our guests and ensure the efficient operation of the Hotel restaurant and maximising profitability and exceptional guest experience. We are looking for this role to start at the beginning of August 2023.

Your day to day;

  • Hosting to the highest calibre and ensuring that all team members working in the department maintain a high level of hospitality at all times to all guests
  • Ensuring the implementation of high standards of food and beverage service and high levels of product quality throughout the food service period
  • Managing the restaurant team, including an Assistant Restaurant Manager, Breakfast Supervisors, Food & Beverage team members and working closely with the kitchen team
  • On-going training and development of your team, to ensure high levels of service are continuously maintained
  • Maintaining and controlling stocks of linen, china, cutlery and glassware for the restaurant areas
  • Effective management of the restaurant diary, providing effective communication with the reception and reservation teams, ensuring guest requirements are met
  • Managing all recruitment, selection, onboarding and induction for team members working within the department

 

Who are we looking for?

You will have worked previously in a similar Restaurant Manager role for at least 2 years and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel, or fine dining restaurant.

You will have a genuine passion for the food and drink industry. Wine knowledge experience is essential in this role, and you will have WSET Level 2 qualification as a minimum.

This is a leadership role and therefore you will demonstrate high levels of both self-motivation and the ability to motivate, lead and develop a team.

You will have exemplary customer service skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will be a motivational and engaging leader for your team, have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
