Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, is currently undergoing a full significant refurbishment of the hotel, ready for re-opening in Autumn 2023.
We are now looking to appoint a Night Porter, reporting to the Reception Manager, to provide a five-star guest experience through the delivery of a caring and attentive service to our visiting guests, as well as ensuring the security and health & safety of the Hotel overnight. We are looking for this role to start mid September 2023.
Your day to day;
- Responsible for providing a high standard of guest service and welcome to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Ensuring full security and health & safety for the hotel and premises throughout the night
- Checking in any late arrival guests and checking out any early departures
- Where necessary serving refreshments to hotel residents throughout the night
- Setting up and clearing any public areas as necessary
- Clearing restaurant tables after any late dinners
- Completing patrols of the hotel and premises throughout the night
- Being knowledgeable and fully conversant with the hotel fire evacuation plans as well as understanding the fire panel operation
Who are we looking for?
You will have worked previously in a similar Night Porter role and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel. You will have the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a passionate, loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic, good timekeeping and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a pressurised environment.
You will be computer literate and previous experience with Rezlynx would be advantageous.
