About The Role

Role Purpose    

As a Night Bet Acceptance Trader you will be a member of the team responsible for all overnight ‘exceptional’ bet management via Over Ask and Telephone referral for both the Ladbrokes and Coral brands.  You will also responsible for all overnight client profiling, assessing activity both real time and retrospectively using effective bet notes to support quality of stake factor decisions.

The accuracy of bet acceptance decision making, bet noting contribution and subsequent customer profiling will increase profitable customer turnover and reduce loss making customer activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the acceptance of bets in line with the policies and practices outlined by the Bet Acceptance Management Team
  • Ensure that all bet acceptance decisions are appended with an appropriate bet note
  • Profile customers using agreed customer grades and ensure that all profiling information are delivered to the customer profiling team in line with the procedures set out
  • Ensure that the communication of all significant and noteworthy bets to the UK Trading Team is undertaken in a timely manner
  • Through the use of monitors/trackers, maintain visibility of customer betting activity, update bet notes as appropriate and feedback to the UK Trading team using the agreed communication tools
  • Observe market movement via in-house trading tools and react accordingly taking appropriate action on price changes to maximise GGR. Communicate all price changes performed overnight to the UK trading team
  • Engage with Trading Supportto identify / follow up on event escalations including management ofpalpable error activity
  • Highlight to appropriate Teamsirregular customer activity driven by pricing/integrity issues
  • Circulate handovers to raise awareness of specific customers
  • Help support and develop the relationship between Bet Acceptance, Customer Profiling, Risk and the UK Trading Teamsand in doing so look to optimise the efficiency of the Trading Team as a whole
  • Assistin the provision of the trading review of customer withdrawals as part of the customer settlement and payments sign off process
  • Assist in performance reporting and administration tasks as needed
  • Ensure the adherence to core licensing principals at all times, escalating issues to the appropriate internal and external bodies as defined
  • Assist in the management of the Racing, Football and Sports limit settings as requested by the management team
  • Provide specialist trading knowledge in assisting the brand and customer service teams as needed
  • Understand, acknowledge and follow the  betting integrity policies and procedures at all times  and raise any incidents to the Bet Acceptance Manager and/or Compliance Teams as appropriate
  • Specialist Skills and Experience Required
  • Extensive subject matter expertise in racing, football and/or sports trading is essential
  • Excellent mathematical aptitude and awareness
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving capability
  • You will be comfortable workingin a fast paced environment, making decisions quickly and according to agree guidelines
  • The ability to work under pressure is key – both individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn quickly, take on new instructions and guidelines and apply those to your daily work will be essential
