You should be proactive and enthusiastic, ready for a challenge and able to handle kitchen and production areas. You’ll be working closely with the Head Chef, managing kitchen staff and ensuring everyone is on track.

You’re second in command so in case the Head Chef is absent, you’ll be required to step up and take charge of the kitchen operations.

Some of the more skilled positions will need experience, or sometimes qualifications, when applying - whilst for others no direct experience is necessary.

The standard hourly rate for our gap year positions is NZ$15 per hour.

Requirements for Kiwi and Kiwi Summer -

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in customer service/hospitality role. (Previous hotel experience is a huge advantage)
  • Interest in working in hospitality sector
  • Flexibility with location in New Zealand and open to a variety of roles
  • At least 6 months work availability
  • Willing to travel to NZ between Sept 1st - Jan 10th
