Senior Instructor (watersports)

Grosvenor Hall – Ashford, Kent

As a Senior Instructor for Watersports at our Grosvenor Hall centre you will be responsible for Leading/Managing Instructors to deliver safe sessions/programmes that delight guests and meet their aims and objectives, ensuring equipment is used in accordance with regulated and advisory bodies, manufacturer’s guidelines and Kingswood SOP’s. You will have the ability to mentor and develop Instructors to support personal/technical development and succession planning in particular where it relates to the watersports activity provision.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Lead, manage, develop, motivate and mentor Instructors through effective performance management and communication to deliver KPI’s and high standards of delivery.
• In conjunction with the Chief Instructor and Training Coordinator, identify and deliver development opportunities for instructors to ensure the delivery team is equipped with the appropriate range of skills to continue effective delivery of the programme.
• To be an inspirational role model and mentor to Instructors.
• To play an active part in monitoring Centre safety and security ensuring all known incidents and accidents are recorded in line with the required protocol.
• Ensure all watersports equipment and safety checks are conducted in line with company procedures including safe storage and issue of equipment.

You will need to demonstrate/possess the below skills & experience:

• Minimum;  UKCC L2 
• Experience of maintenance and upkeep of watersports equipment
• Pro-active and diligent organised approach to tasks
• Demonstrate NGB log book experience and proof of actively working towards achieving NGB awards relevant to the role (desirable)
• Passionate about adventurous activities and the benefit of young people participating
