The Alderley Edge Hotel is one of the most sought-after venues in the heart of Cheshire making it a truly desirable venue for all manner of celebrations. Every aspect plays a part; the fabulous setting, stunning location, the attentive service by our professional and welcoming Team in one of Cheshire's most exclusive villages. As of early September, this year the Hotel is going through a major transformation whereby we are refurbishing the entire Hotel from public areas, Reception, Bar, Restaurant and Banqueting Suites. We will also be refurbishing our 50 bedrooms early next year which in turn will transform the property with service standards to match. We are now looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our wonderful team offering a competitive salary and excellent company benefits.

- Takes directed responsibility for guest and staff satisfaction, by assisting in directing the Restaurant and Room Service operations. To ensure the smooth running of these departments alongside the Restaurant Manager.
- Seeks opportunities to improve the guest experience by seeking feedback, and evaluating service levels.
- Conducts daily pre-shift meetings to discuss bookings, special requests, and allocation of staff and to ensure briefings are carried out.
- To have an excellent working knowledge of the till system including the ‘back of house’ system and to use its functionality to boost revenue and profit.
- To be responsible for all monies taken in the restaurant and bar and the floats provided for these areas. To balance cash and credit card payments on each shift.
- Ensure that all storage areas, still rooms and restaurant areas are cleaned and inspected on a regular basis adhering to all statutory requirements.
- Trains, develops, motivates, coaches and evaluates the performance of all staff in the Restaurant in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
- Leads by example, and motivates Restaurant employees to anticipate guests’ needs & deliver service in a way that makes people feel special.
- Assists in monitoring and controlling equipment costs & stock levels on a daily basis, taking corrective action where necessary to maximize profitability.
- Determines appropriate staffing levels, to maintain a balance between customer demands, profitability and employee preferences in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.
- Ensure a safe environment in which to work. Report any hazard or maintenance defects immediately
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance
