About Impluse Leisure

Impulse Leisure, the parent Company, manages Adur Community Leisure (ACL) and West Chanctonbury Recreation Association (WCRA), both based in West Sussex, and Thurrock Community Leisure (TCL) based in Essex.  The three companies between them comprise of 6 leisure centres, a community pool, a golf course, golf and country club and an entertainments hall.
Impulse Leisure is a non-profit distributing organisation (NPDO), providing leisure and recreation facilities to the local communities.

Impulse Leisure Belhus Park, Blackshots, Corringham, Lancing Manor, Southwick, Wadurs and Chanctonbry are leisure facilities featuring between them swimming pools, fitness suites, aerobic studios, supervised crèche, driving range, Kinesis Studio, racquet sports and cafeteria.  Wadurs is a community swimming pool offering swimming lessons and classes.  Finally, the Civic Hall is an entertainment hall suitable for music concerts and shows as well as private hire for weddings, parties, etc…  
Whilst providing facilities for the local communities on a pay and use basis, membership for use across all leisure centres and the golf and country club is available.  There are options for annual memberships that include discounted rates for disabled, OAPs, concessions and job seekers.  These memberships allow users to receive discounts on entrance prices each time they visit.  In addition, monthly memberships are available providing unlimited use of the majority of facilities.
Adur Community Leisure has approximately 150 staff across all three sites; Thurrock Community Leisure, including the wholly owned trading subsidiary has approximately 230 staff.  Chanctonbury has approximately 40 staff.
Management and administration, including human resources and payroll functions for all the Impulse Leisure group is undertaken from the registered Head Office, at Blackshots Leisure Centre, in Grays, Essex.

Each company, ACL,TCL and WCRA (Chanctonbury), has its own Board of Trustees (all volunteers), who help steer the companies in pursuit of their Mission, and ensure compliance with the rules of operation that govern charitable companies
