Learning Manager - London

Location: Hybrid working is on offer with 1-2 days at home each week. Regular travel across the London Hotels is required as part of this role.

About the Learning Manager - London role

Reporting to the Area Learning Manager - UK & Ireland, you will assist them in driving the Learning Strategy and in providing colleagues with opportunities to learn and grow every day. Learning is an ongoing experience at Hyatt with many opportunities for exposure. This is a fast-paced role where you will manage multiple learning activities in multiple properties, all at one time.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Learning Manager – London role include

  • Be a business partner to London properties through implementing a learning strategy that helps the organisation to achieve goals and tactics
  • Implements and fosters Hyatt’s Learning Philosophy in all London properties
  • Identifies learning needs together with Leadership Committee, Department Heads and Human Resources Managers and assists in creating UK Learning plans; yearly and monthly
  • Delivers classroom and virtual workshops as required
  • Provide coaching and advise to Leadership Committee, managers as required
  • Evaluates learning to ensure effectiveness and maximum return on investment
  • Ensure effective communication with Human Resources Managers and General Managers London Hotels
  • Ensure departmental training standards are implemented and train and coach departmental trainers/talent development trainers

Working hours are generally Monday to Friday, office hours, although you may need to work some evenings and weekends and particularly attend recruitment fairs, colleague social events, networking or college alumni events.

Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, though not essential. Operational managers with experience in F&B, Housekeeping or Front Office, and with a strong track record in running departmental training and developing the capabilities of their teams will be considered.
