Culinary Roles

Working under the direction and guidance of our Executive Chef Andrew Turner, our talented kitchen teams showcase both flair and creativity in combining quality British ingredients with a cosmopolitan mix of International, Italian and French influences to create an elegant, yet contemporary theme in keeping with the Café Royal’s history and hallmarks of exceptional quality and style.

Our culinary team work within one of London’s newest and most state of the art kitchens featuring all of the latest specialist culinary equipment. We also have our own large pastry kitchen with its very own bakery and chocolate room; a must for any talented pastry chef. All of our bread and pastry is made fresh onsite every day from our decedent afternoon teas to our range of freshly baked croissants, cakes and handmade chocolates on sale within our ever popular Café fronting London’s vibrant Regent Street.

With over 65 chefs within our culinary team we have a multitude of opportunities on offer from Divisional Head & Sous Chefs, CDPs, Demi’s & Commis. We also have a range of specialised pastry positions including Bakery and Chocolatiers.

If you’re a young and aspiring Chef we offer apprentices across all areas of the kitchen run in conjunction with Westminster Kingsway college in central London.

Food & Beverage Roles

Our Restaurants & Bars play a central role at Café Royal and as such we have a diverse offering of positions from Commis Waiters and Bar Backs, through to more specialised roles such as our Italian Trained Baristas, Cocktail Bar Tenders, Chef De Rang and Fine Dining Head Waiters. We also have opportunities for Butlers who oversee service within our guest rooms and suites.

With a range of private event rooms and spaces catering for parties from 14-230, there are a range of Events Sales and coordinator roles as well as our events operational teams.

The Club at Café Royal

Occupying the first floor of the Café Royal is The Club an exclusive member’s only area. The private members spaces range from an exclusive bar guarded by solid saddle leather walls, to the balconied lounge area within the historical fabric of Café Royal. An exquisite private dining room, the sophisticated Domino Room restaurant and the ever versatile screening room (also used for breakfast), overlooking the grandeur of Regent Street, will take centre stage for social gatherings.

The Domino restaurant will be the new, refined dining experience completing Café Royal hotel’s return to London's vibrant social scene. Revivifying the glamour of entertaining, guests will dine under an elegant canopy of intricate and beautifully restored cartouches, like the icons of London society before them.
