Your role

As our Recruitment Officer you will become part of a dedicated team providing a specialist HR Service to around 400 employees. Your passion to provide personalised colleague experiences, with detailed HR knowledge and confidence, is both assertive yet sincere. Your “voice with a smile” and commitment to anticipation, to deal with our colleagues in a professional and responsive manner, in keeping with the Café Royal’s history and hallmarks of exceptional quality and style.

Working closely with our Heads of Department you will provide an all-encompassing and dedicated end to end recruitment service on behalf of the hotel across the following areas:

  • Oversee the initial identification of vacancies in line with our budgeting manning levels, the creation of job descriptions and person specifications to placing recruitment adverts across a number of websites in order to generate high quality candidates

  • Build and maintain relationships with hotel schools, representing the hotel at career fairs and fine tuning our Internship Program

  • Develop Employee Branding and attraction strategies in order to secure top quality graduates and candidates

  • Screen and coordinate applications (including internal applications) received for all vacancies, proposing suitable shortlists to HODs for consideration

  • Conducting first round interviews and providing detailed feedback and recommendations to HODs

  • Build and manage a talent bank of candidates for future opportunities

  • Oversee and coordinate the final stage interviews up until the employment offer

There will of course be other aspects to your role, including various HR and Recruitment projects that you will have the opportunity to help with.

Your profile

As Oscar Wilde once famously quoted 'To Define is to Limit' however to be successful in this role, you will of course need to have a natural flair and passion for HR, combined an enthusiasm for providing an exceptional recruitment service to our business that is both organised, confident and calm.

You will of course have ideally already have previous HR or Recruitment experience at a similar level and may be already working in a HR role looking to specialise in Recruitment. This experience should also be combined with operational experience in the Hospitality Industry, ideally gained within a luxury hotel, high end restaurant or club environment. You will be able to demonstrate your passion for HR through further education and may have already completed, commenced or looking to start your CIPD qualifications.

Your administration skills should be exceptional and you will need to have a minimum of intermediate level knowledge on all Microsoft packages. Naturally your communication skills will be outstanding, with a fluent level of written and spoken English, in order to connect and engage with candidates as well as our team across all levels of the business. Your integrity and discretion will be your defining quality as you will become guardian to a host of confidential and at times sensitive colleague information on behalf of the Company.
