Business Applications Analyst - Hoburne Holiday Parks

Located on the outskirts of Christchurch, Hoburne Group Support Services is now looking for a Business Applications Analyst to join their friendly team.

Looking for a role where you can make an immediate difference to a growing business and be within a short walk to the beach? Hoburne Group, located close to Bournemouth with a turnover of £60m, owns and operates holiday parks, golf clubs and a property development portfolio.

We are looking for a Business Application Analyst to join the central IT team; someone who is enthusiastic about delivering both technology and business change, having had previous roles covering the development and growth of business applications, technical integration, data management and an awareness of project management methodologies.

A good communicator, you will have experience in dealing with all levels of team in a business and with third party providers.

You will be passionate about unlocking the potential of business through technology to support future growth and delivering good customer experience.

Key Responsibilities to include:

  • Support of core business applications covering our Holiday Park Sales and Operations, finance, websites, HR and Payroll
  • Managing and reporting on key business change activities
  • Ability to scope, review and manage ongoing system and software deliveries from third parties
  • Play a lead role in scoping, development and deployment of new strategic business applications
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, by challenging and identifying opportunities to optimise the use of existing systems and processes
  • Sound understanding of the key operational datasets that drive our business applications.  Identifying opportunities to improve data integrity and help in the growth of our data analytics platform

Key Requirements:

  • Experience of development and deployment of commercial business applications, in a medium sizes business environment
  • Exposure to varied technical integration approaches between applications, both internal and third parties, ideally to include an understanding of modern api based integration techniques 
  • Exposure to technical architectures both using on-premises and cloud based platforms, ideally Azure
  • Hands on experience of SQL, with at minimum basic understanding of scripting.
  • Ability to deliver business requirements, process and technical specification documentation
  • Understanding of standard project management delivery methodologies, both traditional waterfall and agile
  • Will have experience in the capacity of hands-on development, ideally with C# or Java and at least one current scripting language
  • Have experience of developing / deploying  XML and JSON based data exchange between systems
  • Previous exposure to working with data analytics and reporting platforms, bringing a good understanding of data management throughout the full business lifecycle

As the role encompasses support or our entire growing business group, occasional travel will be required to other Hoburne Locations across the South and South West of England.

This is a full-time permanent role offering a salary of £40 - £45K pa.
