Housekeeping Team Member - Hoburne Doublebois Liskeard

Doublebois Park, close to Liskeard and bordered by the River Fowey, comprises a magnificent Doublebois House and some 65 acres of rolling countryside.  We are now looking for a Housekeeping Team Member to join our small friendly team.

The Hoburne team at Doublebois takes pride in its philosophy of providing traditional holidays for families and couples of all ages in beautiful surroundings that create memories to treasure.  We always aim to achieve the highest standards at our Cornwall Holiday Park and would love for you to join our team if you have the experience and passion we are looking for as a Housekeeping Team Member.

Previous knowledge of Holiday Parkswould be an advantage but is not essential! Above all we are looking for applicants who are passionate about what they do and committed to providing exemplary customer service to every single guest.

We are looking to appoint another member of staff to join our small hardworking team who are dedicated to giving a wonderful experience to our holiday makers and take pride in looking after this lovely Park. For this role, the successful candidates will have the ability to work as team players and on their own initiative with a friendly personality, high level of inter-personal skills, be self-motivated and positive attitude with the ability to demonstrate the highest level of customer service. A full clean driving licence is also required.

The role is to be divided as follows and primarily involves:-

Housekeeping

The role is to assist the Housekeeping department to ensure that all Company and privately-owned accommodation is cleaned and maintained to the highest standard after each occupancy and to make sure all faults, damages or potential problems in letting accommodation are reported immediately to the appropriate person.

The successful candidate must be flexible, enthusiastic, take pride in their work and be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of the team. The key responsibilities of this position are to ensure that all letting properties are cleaned and presented to the required standard.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake the effective training, organisation and supervision of a team of staff, cleaning our fleet of lodges to a very high standard, ordering and maintaining of stock.

Reception

The main tasks of this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing phone cover for the main reception desk, answering all incoming calls in an efficient and professional manner and taking clear, accurate messages where necessary
  • Check in customers, ensuring they are dealt with efficiently and courteously
  • Taking bookings and payments for holidays and golf
  • Cash handling for reception and end of day reconciliation
  • Ensuring the Reception area remains tidy and presentable at all times
  • Assisting with any ad-hoc administrative items such as post, filing, photocopying, typing etc.
  • Training will be given for our computerised bookings system.

This role will require a punctual and reliable person, with a flexible attitude, common sense and a ‘hands’ on approach to their work. A good telephone manner with excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

This position is for 30 hours per week.

The nature of our business necessitates that the successful applicant will be required to work some anti-social hours including weekends and Bank Holidays. Cover may also be required when the Managers and other staff members are away or on leave.

The position is available to start as soon as possible and experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential as training will be given.
