Located on the outskirts of Christchurch, Hoburne is now looking for a Financial Accountant to join their friendly team.
A rare and excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded Finance team in a varied progressive family owned business. The Hoburne Group comprises Hoburne Ltd. and Burry and Knight Ltd. operating 8 holiday parks in fantastic locations, a residential park, 3 golf clubs, a property rental portfolio and a property development business.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will suit someone who is looking for a broader Finance role with opportunities to learn and make a difference to the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Improving controls and ways of working across the business,
- Managing Finance systems and delivery of improvements,
- Ownership of cashflow monitoring and forecasting
- Providing support to the team on month end accounting and reporting
- Support delivery of Procurement initiatives and savings and liaise with Procurement consultant
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Produce/review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all reconciling items are cleared
- Assisting with regulatory and compliance projects
Key requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification (or in final stages)
- Ideally a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Commercial awareness
- Experience of improving financial controls
- Experience of external and / or internal auditing
- Ability to document procedures and to ensure that they are being followed
- Strong IT and excel skills
- A positive attitude with energy and drive and a willingness to learn
Whilst this is a full time role, the opportunity exists to adjust the workload for a part time basis.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
