Restaurant Manager - Château La Chaire Hotel

Salary: Up to £26,000 per year based on experience basic plus extras. Start February 2018

Château la Chaire is a small 180-year-old country house hotel in the North East of Jersey at Rozel Bay, St Martin. The hotel is high-grade AA 4 Silver Star with 2 rosettes set in a wooded valley, built onto a cliff face and only a short walk from the beach and sea at Rozel Harbour. We have a vacancy for the position of Restaurant Manager with specific responsibility for all food & beverage. This is a head of department position and part of the senior hotel management team. We are seeking to further develop the restaurant with an additional rosette and development of a 65-cover function suite is under way. You will play a major part in these developments.

Applicants should be experienced within a similar role and should have an all-round knowledge of food and beverage areas to a high standard including restaurant service and management to at least 2 rosette standard, function and wedding co-ordination and management, bar knowledge which should include stock control and margin GP%. Cocktail experience would also be an advantage.

Hotel Duty Management will also be required whilst on duty.

A % of service charges are also added to the salary. Hours will likely include some split shifts, but generally 45 hours over 5 or 6 days dependant on business levels. You will be responsible for managing your own time along with your team. 3 weeks holiday plus bank holidays.

This is a live out position but temporary on-site accommodation is available for a few months.
