We are currently recruiting for an Events and Reservations Co-ordinator at Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa.

Grand Jersey Hotel and Spa Jersey, really is the jewel in the crown, a 5 Star Hotel which includes a 4 AA rosette restaurant, terrace dining overlooking the sea, champagne lounge, private dining, luxurious bedrooms, spa and leisure club making this a destination hotel with so much to offer.

Please note this role is only available for candidates already located in Jersey and is offered on a live out basis.

About the role:

  • As Events and Reservations Coordinator your role will involve dealing with in bound events and reservations enquiries.
  • This is a full time role working 40 hours per week over 5 days, 9am - 5:30pm, to include weekend work on a rota basis. 
  • You will be the ultimate people person who enjoys building positive relationships with everyone you meet, giving them faith and confidence in your knowledge and event organisation abilities from the very first conversation.
  • This is a sales focused role where you will enjoy making recommendations to meet the needs of your clients and their budgets. Whether it's a wedding, private dinner or a large scale event you'll take the reins and help to plan the event ensuring every detail is perfect and well executed.
  • The fantastic feedback you receive and clients saying "Thank you for all your help!" will motivate you and be a regular highlight to your working week.

About you:

  • You will ideally have at least a years' experience in an events or reservations co-ordination role, ideally from within a 4 or 5 hotel or events venue.
  • You will have a key interest in weddings and events and be able to demonstrate knowledge of current market trends.
  • Experience of "Opera" is preferred.
  • You will have high standard of attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively both in person and with written communication.
  • You have the ability to establish rapport and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner.
  • You'll have experience of working in a fast-paced, busy environment and be used to working to deadlines.
  • You'll be excellent at building a rapport with colleagues and guests.
  • Most of all, you'll have a professional, organised and friendly approach.

  • A competitive salary of £30,450, per annum plus a monthly sales bonus of up to £100 per month and a share of service charge. Any additional hours worked will be paid at the hourly rate. OTE £33,000 to £34,000 per annum.
