High Quality Community Food Pub. The Black Horse is the perfect example of a friendly, traditional, English pub at the very heart of its local community. Serving great food, including regularly changing specials, as well our award-winning Badger beers, our hospitality is second to none. Used by stars working at the nearby Pinewood Film Studios since the 1930s, including actors from the Carry On and James Bond films, The Black Horse’s name refers to the overnight ride from London to York made by Dick Turpin, on his horse Black Bess in 1737. Popular with locals and with a large garden, excellent for enjoying those long, hot summer days, combined with roaring log fires, oak beams and traditional interiors for the darker and colder winters, make it a pub for all seasons and occasions. We are building our kitchen  team now ahead of the busy season and have a full time permanent position available with immediate start............

Where you'll work: The Black Horse A Buckinghamshire country pub loved by film stars and families Frequented since the 1930's by film stars working at nearby Pinewood Studios, this historic pub is popular with Hollywood royalty and locals alike. But glamorous guests aren’t the Black Horse’s only claim to fame. In 2012, their ‘double-gallows’ inn sign (a style unique to Hall & Woodhouse) won the Inn-Sign Society’s ‘Inn Sign of the Year'. The hand-painted pictorial features Sid James in “Carry on Dick”, filmed at Pinewood.  With its broad terrace and traditional cosy interior, it’s the perfect spot for all seasons and occasions.
