Join the family We are looking for Hygiene Operatives to join the team at our new distribution site, currently under construction, at Solstice Park, Amesbury. The site will be fully operational from October 2019 as a brand-new facility for Greggs, servicing between 120-250 of our retail shops in the South and South West.

Pay Rates £19,000 to £23,000 depending on shift pattern, upon successful completion of

Probationary period.

Shift Pattern and Contracted Hours

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: 6am - 2pm, 7am - 3pm and 8am - 4pm - actual shift patterns to be confirmed

We will also consider part time working and later shifts, please get in touch and this can be discussed further at interview.

Job Description As a Hygiene Operative, you’ll have the ability to reach the highest standards of cleanliness to ensure site quality and safety standards are met. Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, you’ll use a variety of machinery and equipment across a range of tasks.

You’ll work in a close-knit team, but you’ll also be expected to work independently, working with enthusiasm and determination to get the job done. 

Examples of tasks are:

  • Loading and unloading plastic trays on to conveyor belt of traywash machine
  • Recycling plastic and cardboard, operating associated machinery
  • General warehouse standards maintenance
Skills
    Experience in cleaning within a role Comfortable with long periods of standing, lifting and carrying Comfortable with working in a food environment No evidence of respiratory problems (as working in cold/frozen areas would not suit individuals with respiratory problems) Legal entitlement to work in the UK (e.g. Valid VISA or Work Permit for non EEC residents) Flexible in availability for working hours (as may be required to work different shifts, or asked to work overtime)
