Based: Islington Up to 16.30 per hour 

GLL is growing and we're now looking for a number of experienced Football Coaches to help us on our journey. We're managing more sports and leisure centres than ever before making us the UK's largest leisure operator. And with nearly 260 sports facilities throughout the UK, including some of the most iconic and sought-after training centres, you'll be sure to find somewhere to match your skills.

The Islington Football Development Partnership is looking to add to its team of casual coaches. Casual staff may work only one session a week or across multiple sessions, depending on coach availability and current programme.

The IFDP run a variety of football coaching sessions and programmes across Islington. Whilst the IFDP works with players from as young as 2 years, up to women at 50 years of age, the majority of the work is with children in the 7 -11 years age bracket. Coaching is often outdoors on artificial pitches but there is also additional work delivered in schools and other environments. Most working hours are after school, in the evenings or Saturday mornings. The IFDP works with Islington Borough Ladies Football club in delivering a substantial women and girls offer, with over 200 females playing football each week, across a variety of formats.

Applicant coaches need to have an FA Level 1 Coaching qualification as a minimum with a current First Aid and Safeguarding modules. FA Level 2 and other qualifications are desirable. We will be prioritising some roles for coaches with experiencing in delivering to groups but will also consider coaches starting out on their coaching journey. We offer mentoring and training to all coaches as we encourage coaches to better themselves.

Most of all, we are looking for coaches with enthusiasm, a good rapport and manner with young people and a desire to be a good team player in offering the best service we can offer.

All coaches are employed subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
