GLL makes community services and spaces better for everyone. And it’s about more than just money. Our people invest time, energy and effort into helping and improving communities through the services we offer - and with great results. Through “Better” we provide leisure centres, children’s services, spas, libraries, extreme spots, event spaces and standalone gyms.

If you have a passion and talent for ice skating and are great with people, you can use these skills as an Ice Assistant at the newly built Cambridge Ice Arena - a dedicated permanent ice venue for the city. Over 20 years in the making, the Arena will open thanks to the generous donation of a Cambridge University alumnus who wished the city and surrounding areas to enjoy a premier ice and leisure destination. We want Cambridge Ice Arena to not only be a destination for recreational skaters but also for those who want to engage in a new kind of fitness as well as producing future Winter Olympic skaters, curlers and ice hockey players.

As well as assisting customers, you'll need to keep things clean and safe for the many visitors that we get each year. It goes without saying that you'll be committed to providing an excellent customer experience no matter how busy you are and that safety will be of paramount importance whether it is on the ice, with the skate hire or in the general public areas.

In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:

  • Pension schemes
  • Discounted membership at our leisure centres
  • Career pathways
  • Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best

If you'd like to combine your love for the ice and work alongside some of best professionals in the ice world, then apply now.

The welfare and safety of the children in our care is of the utmost importance to us at GLL. We follow safer recruitment procedures to ensure that our staff are checked and appropriate to work with children and young people. Therefore we'll require you to complete an enhance DBS check before you will be allowed to start work.

All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.
