Restaurant Supervisor - Plymouth

Responsibilities and duties

In addition to supporting the catering manager as above, the following areas of responsibility will be delegated to the Supervisors.

Guest service

  • To deliver service reflecting the spirit of Future Inns
  • To meet guests’ needs and expectations.
  • To be a guest service role model

Restaurant & Bar Duties

  • To dispense and deliver beverages/food to the guest.
  • To maximise service and sales opportunities in line with the spirit of Future Inns.
  • To clear and clean front/back of house and service areas to Restaurant standards.
  • To deliver food from the kitchen/food areas to guests.
  • To maximise guest satisfaction

Team Leader

  • To be conversant with Future Inns values and standards.
  • To ensure all quality and service checks are completed and actioned to maximise guest satisfaction
  • To supervise bar/restaurant set-up
  • To supervise bar/restaurant team
  • To be a role model for Hosts – modelling behaviour consistent with the spirit of Future Inns.
  • To provide one-to-one training to help staff get to grips with the role, standards and spirit of Future Inns.
  • To coach, train, supervise and assess trainees during training programmes.
  • To organise, train, record and assess staff training including Mystery Guest Training, COSHH, Food Hygiene Standards, Health and Safety at work, Guest Service. 

House Cover

  • To be a responsible key holder, able to provide relief cover for the house in the absence of any managers.
  • To ensure all operational administration and procedures are met.

To include:

 

  • Higher 1 = Opening and Closing session / Cash Reconciliation / Counting Wet stock in preparation for line checks / Stock take
  • Higher 2 = Payroll / Order Polling / Line Checks / Cellar Management / Receipts of wet and dry goods / Wet and dry stock taking / P&L / Staff rotas / Opening and Closing session / Banking.

Maintaining Future Inns’ Values and StandardsTo ensure all quality and service checks are completed and actioned to maximise guest satisfaction.

The Supervisor is required to carry out any tasks and duties which may be required by the management from time to time.
