We are looking for the best Food and Beverage Bar Assistant to make things happen for our customers at The Mill Arts and Events Centre in Rayleigh Essex. The role is on a casual basis, working ad hoc hours (as and when required), mainly Friday and Saturday Evenings. 

You will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and working with a diverse and dynamic team within a fast paced environment.

The company

We work in collaboration with our partners in your community to provide recreational sport, health and fitness activities. A registered charity, we formed in April 2000 with a handful of facilities in Southwark. Since then we have consistently made a surplus (profit) each year which means we have been able to put that back into improving our facilities. We now have nearly 80 facilities nationwide including swimming pools and health and fitness centres and even an ice rink, an outdoor sports centre and indoor bowls centres.

The role

You will be responsible for:

• serving customers quickly and efficiently while ensuring that the bar/function room is maintained in a clean and tidy condition
• ensuring strict compliance with licensing laws.
• serving beverages efficiently and politely ensuring the suitability of the product and providing centre information whenever possible.
• general cleaning duties of the bar and hall
• set up and clear down of all furniture before, during and after each event.

The candidate

The experience and background you will need is:

• Previous customer facing experience
• Cash handling experience
• Previous F&B experience is desirable
• Excellent communication skills
