Sous Chef - Foundry 39, Edinburgh

We’re looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team for the brand new launch of the Foundry Project in Edinburgh. An enthusiastic Sous Chef to help run our kitchen in the absence of the head chef, A Sous who is dedicated to producing fantastic fresh food consistently, a Sous Chef who can work to fresh, branded specifications at a fast pace and lead a team to do the same.

Our kitchen is designed around some fantastic equipment and the menu has been built with it in mind.

We want to serve the best burgers and wood-fired pizzas in town. Our big, bold burgers begin with honest basics like chuck, brisket and dry-aged flank. Then we pile ‘em high with adventurous add-ons including balsamic-glazed short rib, black pudding and maple bacon. Our pizzas are made to order with sourdough crusts and loaded with toppings that run from the classic to the unconventional.

Successful Candidates must have the following:

  • At least 1yrs experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent level
  • Experience with working with a fresh food menu with a high output
  • High standards of cleanliness
  • Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Great communication
  • Ability to be part of a team but also the ability to lead and coach a team 
  • Passion for producing perfect dishes consistently
