Learning and Development Manager - London

We are currently recruiting for a Learning and Development Manager to join the Firmdale Hotel Group People and Development team.

We are looking for an expert in facilitator led training, supervisory and management development and the ideal candidate will be an innovative and creative leader and a Manager to their team of Group Operations Trainers.

Main Duties

  • Responsibility for the Learning and Development strategy to promote and develop learning as one of our key engagement and retention strategies
  • Ensure the delivery of the Firmdale learning directory, consistently reviewing and updating learning programmes, developing content and taking on board the feedback from our teams
  • Working with our external suppliers to deliver our Supervisory and Management Development Programme, accredited by the ILM and other accredited programmes
  • Creating and implementing team, supervisor and management bespoke courses for Firmdale
  • Management of our learning programmes – graduate management programme, internships, work experience, cross training, apprenticeships
  • Responsibility for training budget, managing a cost effective department, monitoring L&D metrics and ROI
  • Supporting the Firmdale Group Managers and Trainers to deliver operational skills and knowledge training
  • Involvement in some People and Development areas, contributing to the wider team goals and providing learning solutions for some of the HR challenges within the business

Skills

  • A training background, preferably within the hospitality sector, previous experience training Managers and coaching skills
  • A friendly and warm personality and committed to developing people within the business
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about the industry and our people
  • A resilient nature and ability to take on board feedback to evolve the learning and development delivery
  • Ability to build great rapport and relationships with teams and our people
  • Great attention to detail
